Remove advertisements ‘web clips’ in gmail inbox.

In old Gmail interface, web clip ad strip is displayed at the top. While in new Gmail interface, it is displayed at the bottom. You can easily switch to new look Gmail by going to Mail Setting > Themes (or click here) and then selecting Preview(dense) or Preview option at the bottom of themes listing.



1. Open your Gmail inbox and click Settings icon at top right. Then click Mail Settings option from drop menu. This will open Settings page in your Gmail inbox.


2. Click on Web Clips tab at the top between ‘chat’ and ‘labs’ tab. This will show various web clips that are displayed in your Gmail inbox. You can click to remove them individually
3. Click to uncheck (no tick) next to “Show my web clips above the Inbox” option. Then go back to inbox, the web clips bar or strip showing advertisements wont be visible.

It will be removed from top or bottom of Gmail inbox – depending on type of interface being used by you. No more annoying advertisement clips in Gmail.
