iTunes Scam Alert.

Security experts are warning of a new internet scam which appears to have been timed with one of America's busiest shopping days.

Users receive an email offering a gift certificate claiming to be from Apple's iTunes store but the accompanying ZIP file contains malware that can allow hackers to gain access to the user's computer.

The security firm says that users are told they have been sent $50 (£32) of iTunes store credit and need to open an attached file to find out their certificate code.

The file contains a program known as Mal/BredoZp-B.

The blog from Eleven Security suggests that the hackers have targeted today specifically with one of the busiest shopping days in the US.
