Following Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerberg's promise of an 'awesome' announcement, the company has revealed that it has added a new Skype video chat feature.
Ar launch, the new feature will allow two users to connect face-to-face, but, unlike Google's + system, group video calls will not be yet be available to Facebook users.
Zuckerberg hinted that other 'premium' Skype features would be added in the future.
It what appeared to be a concession to Google, Zuckerberg said that the new Facebook-Skype feature was;
"only possible because of the social infrastructure that already exists".
Skype is in the process of being bought by Microsoft, which is a major shareholder in Facebook.
